The Shelter Collection
In 2004, Danish teacher and father of two adopted children from Vietnam Ole Riis co-founded the Shelter Collection as one of the development efforts of Danish Vietnamese Association.
"I was motivated by the urge to give something back to the land of my children. Social security systems for children in Vietnam do not develop at the same speed as the economy." As well as raising his children in Denmark and caring for their family in Hoa Binh, Riis set out to form a 100% volunteer committee of professionals from education and development backgrounds to counter-act children's challenges in Vietnam.

Our previous projects have been funded and monitored by the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA), and this has given us great values of insight, transparency and sustainability. We partner with many NGOs in Vietnam as well as international CSR sponsors and are always looking for more mutually beneficial partnerships. We are registered as a charity organisation in Denmark and in Vietnam with PACCOM AU301/ UB-HĐ. Donations in Denmark are tax-deductible. For information about us in Danish, please see our our page at the Danish Vietnamese Association website. |
